1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MetaScout ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers.
2. Description of Service
MetaScout is a gaming intelligence platform that provides:
- Personalized champion, agent, and hero recommendations across 50+ competitive games
- Pro player settings databases (sensitivity, resolution, keybinds, gear)
- Tier lists, role guides, and meta analysis
- Trending game and loadout intelligence via Twitch and Riot Games data
- Blog content covering competitive gaming strategy
MetaScout is an information and recommendation service. We do not guarantee in-game performance outcomes. Rankings and meta data change with game patches; we strive to keep information current but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy at all times.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Free Trial
MetaScout offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Your payment method is charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Plans
- Scout Plan — $9/month: Core recommendations, settings database, 5 tracked games
- Elite Plan — $19/month: Full access, unlimited games, Riot API player lookup, priority updates
Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
Refunds
We offer refunds within 7 days of a charge if you have not made substantial use of the Service. Contact support@metascout.net to request a refund.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account email address
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
Accounts are for individual use only. Sharing account access with others is not permitted and may result in account termination.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from MetaScout for redistribution
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our proprietary algorithms
- Share, sell, or transfer your subscription to another person
- Use automated tools to abuse the recommendation or search systems
- Interfere with the security or integrity of the platform
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations in connection with your use
6. Intellectual Property
All content on MetaScout — including tier lists, recommendation logic, written guides, data compilations, and the MetaScout brand — is owned by or licensed to MetaScout. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content without written permission.
Game names, character names, and related trademarks belong to their respective publishers (Riot Games, Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Valve, etc.). MetaScout is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
7. Third-Party Data & Disclaimers
MetaScout uses data from Riot Games, Twitch, and other public APIs under their respective terms of service. Game data (champion stats, patch notes, pro player settings) reflects publicly available information and is subject to change.
We make reasonable efforts to keep data accurate and current, but we make no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of game data. In-game metas change frequently; always verify critical strategy decisions with current patch notes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetaScout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of gaming rankings, account bans by game publishers, or missed competitive opportunities.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of MetaScout shall not exceed the amount you paid to MetaScout in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform. You may close your account at any time from the Account page or by contacting support.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for disputes that qualify for small claims court.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of MetaScout after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
